The Evening Standard have revealed that Scott Munn does not start at Tottenham until the summer as he is still officially on gardening leave.
Spurs confirmed last week that Munn will join in the newly-created role of chief football officer and is set to take over all football operations at the club, leaving Daniel Levy to deal with the business side of things.
That means that should Fabio Paratici’s appeal against his ban turn out to be successful and he resumes his role as managing director of football, the Italian will be working under the newcomer.
Munn has been the CEO of City Football Group in China for the past four years, having previously worked for Melbourne City since 2009 and he faces a big challenge in what is his first adventure in European football.
However, The Evening Standard have now explained that the Australian will only start work at Hotspur Way on July 1 as he is on gardening leave until then.

Although Munn might officially only start on July 1, there is no doubt that he would have already started work behind the scenes on some of the big decisions that Spurs have to make shortly, including hiring a new head coach and potentially a new director of football.
