David Bentley could be set to end his Tottenham nightmare with a January move to big spenders Manchester City.
Bentley has had a torrid spell at White Hart Lane, with a string of poor performances relagating him to the subs bench.
There was talk about Bentley moving to Eastlands in the summer, but nothing came of the reports.
Manchester City may also include Martin Petrov in the deal, with Spurs also having shown interest in the Bulgarian in the summer.
Petrov was disappointed that a move never transpired and is reportedly upset at spending time on the City bench.
Reports suggest that the deal could be worth £8m plus Petrov as Spurs try to recoup some of the £15m spent on Bentley 18 months ago.
