Gazzetta dello Sport are confident that Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg will be on the market in January and they suggest that the player is tempted to join Juventus.

Over the last couple of weeks, we have relayed multiple reports from Italy suggesting that Juve are seriously considering making a move for Hojbjerg in January (CalcioMercato).

Some sources have even suggested over the last few days that the midfielder’s representatives have already started working on an exit route from Spurs (Fabrizio Romano –Here We Go Podcast).

Juventus’ stance on Hojbjerg is revealed

Gazzetta have now stated in their latest update on Juve’s interest in Hojbjerg that the midfielder, who was a ‘pillar’ under Antonio Conte, is not happy with his current role as a substitute after the ‘radical change’ in his situation.

The Old Lady are said to have carried out their first surveys about the 28-year-old, who Massimiliano Allegri likes ‘a lot’ as he believes that the Spurs man can ‘make the difference in Serie A’.

The report adds that Hojbjerg and his entourage have ‘raised their antennas’ after the contact from the Serie A giants.

The publication asserts that the Denmark international ‘will be available’ in January and that Juventus are hoping to find the right formula for the deal.

Spurs Web Opinion

By all accounts, Hojbjerg was quite keen to leave Spurs in the summer. So, it is not surprising that he and his representatives are working to ensure that he is able to seal a January exit.

One would expect Tottenham to have already begun looking for replacements, with Conor Gallagher now appearing to be off the table.
