TEAMtalk have claimed that Manchester United are now hopeful of winning the race for Watford starlet, Adrian Blake, who is also said to be on Tottenham’s radar.

Blake, who first joined Watford’s academy aged nine, made his senior debut for the club against MK Dons in August of last year, becoming the seventh youngest player in the club’s history.

The Daily Mail revealed a couple of weeks ago that Spurs are keeping tabs on the Islington-born starlet ahead of the summer transfer window on the back of his impressive showing for the Hornet’s youth sides lately.

TEAMtalk have now stated that both Tottenham and Arsenal are watching the winger closely but suggest that the 17-year-old, who has three goal contributions in two FA Youth Cup appearances this season, could end up at Man Utd this summer.

It is asserted that the Red Devils are ready to step up their pursuit of Blake after learning that the teenager would be allowed to leave Vicarage Road.

It appears as if both Spurs and Man Utd might be going head to head for several young starlets this summer, with both clubs also being named as the leading contenders for Brighton’s Evan Ferguson.

Appointing a manager with a track record of promoting youth players to the first-team (like Nagelsmann and Pochettino), would help Tottenham in their quest to snap up the best domestic talent.
